Mick Spencer named Canberra Young Citizen - Young Entrepreneur 2011

In June 2011, Julie Oakley, CEO Vissicom Pty. Ltd, nominated Mick Spencer for the Canberra Young Citizen of the Year for 2011 due to his hard work building up OnTheGo, his goals of philanthropy and he's work in the community.

Come October 2011, Mick was shortlisted and took out the title for Canberra's Young Citizen of the Year - Young Entrepreneur 2011.

Mick was absolutely overwhelmed with this award and it has given him even more motivation to boost his goals to the next level.

Mick Spencer, the founder of OnTheGo, was fortunate enough to be named in the Canberra's Top 12 People to Watch in 2012, by Canberra Ltd. Magazine "InTheCity 2011".

Mick was among some of Canberra's leading Scientists, Doctors, Athlete's and Olympians, Musicians and Business People alike.

New Race Team Launched

ONE of Canberra's top young entrepreneurs has launched his own professional mountain bike racing team on the back of the booming popularity of the sport in the national capital.

Mick Spencer, a 22-year-old whose international sportswear business has cracked the $1 million turnover mark, has now started OnTheGo racing - a team spearheaded by Australian title holder and five-time world champion Jason English.

The team accepts amateurs and has been launched at a time when the popularity of mountain biking is increasing in the ACT.
