The brains behind the ONTHEGO Board
As ONTHEGO is moving into its 5th year, we're taking some big leaps and growing fast.
As we continue to dream big within the Customised Apparel industry, it's important now more than ever that we have an incredible team at Board level to govern, direct and guide the future path we make.
I am so excited to have the board formed, as for a sole founder, it can be an extremely lonely journey, and you must have supportive people around you.
I also believe that taking the steps into "Accellerator" phase of the business' lifecycle, the founder must think different than the "garage days" I believe the best brands, business' and causes are "Founder inspired" not "Founder Dependent"
For my contacts, I wanted to share the board members, and why their so crucial.
Christopher Morgan: Chris is easily one of the highest regarded retail executives in Australia hands down. Chris was Managing Director and CEO of Associated Retailers Ltd (ARL) for 8 years up to 2014, who is one of the largest independent buying groups in Australia, and operate over 600 retail stores, like Camping World, Sports Power and Toyworld to name a few. With a big history there prior to that, he has since been infecting a select number of companies in the Sports / Adventure retail game, including us with key advice. Chris is also a Director for Australian Sports Technology Network, Drummond Golf, and has perviously been on the board of the Australian Sporting Goods Association.
Samantha Condy: Samantha is easily one of the best marketing executives in FMCG and Fashion in Australia. Samantha has been advising ONTHEGO for nearly 2 years, since almost garage days. Samantha's CV is flawless. From Global Head of Marketing at Bendon Group, to Head of Marketing at PUMA, Head of Marketing for Levi Strauss & Co to Marketing Lead of Powerbar and Musashi at Nestle, she has a huge diverse career in marketing lead positions, and has already brought not just a fantastic network, but clear guidance on how we can advance through targeted campaigns, channels and segments, by really understanding our core customers.
Rainbow Savvas: Rainbow is not just one of the most energised accountants and supply chain experts you'll ever meet, but one of the biggest leaders in Fashion Operations and finance. Rainbow's career started out of China and Hong Kong based logistics and IT, then was one of the key positions behind the famous Australian brand Sass+Bide, where she headed up all operations and finance objectives. From Vendor management, production management, logistics management, financial management, IT and HR management, Rainbow brings so much to ONTHEGO that we are so excited about.
James Palmer: James, like Rainbow is one of the most forward thinking and energetic accountants I too have met. Coming from a 20 year+ stint with Ernst & Young between London and Australia, James was the Managing partner of the Canberra audit practice for 6 years and held a number of other leadership roles whilst in the ACT including: Strategic Growth Markets leader, & Entrepreneur of the Year leader. Finishing up at EY in 2014, James has worked with Startup's through to listed entities and many in between. James has now been ONTHEGO's Chief Financial Officer since July 2015. James brings a very large range of skills to the OTG team and board.
Mick Spencer: I talked enough, so i don't need to introduce any more of myself, except for the fact I am very excited to work with this incredible team of people moving forward.
Yours in activity and beautiful sportswear,
